Our Mission: Red Bags KC is a 501© 3 organization that brings the spirit of the holidays to Kansas City foster children, low-income families, and at-risk youth. Run entirely by volunteers, our goal is to procure local individuals, faith communities, businesses, and schools to sponsor a child or family and provide a red bag filled with wrapped Christmas surprises and everyday needs. We work directly with social service agencies to identify Red Bag recipients, as well as their individual wishes, personal care item or clothing requests, and more. With the exception of minimal hard expenses, such as printing and support materials, all monetary donations are used to purchase gifts and food for foster children and families.
